What is working right now

Don Pedro is fishing a solid medium with the fish scattered and the water gin clear. Capt. Monte Smith put 13 salmon and 4 rainbows in the boat, working 17 to 70 feet. The fast troll has been slow, so he backed off and ran dodgers with Kokanee Killers tipped with shoe peg corn. Optimizer Juniors are also picking up fish.

King salmon and rainbow trout, with the fish scattered. Monte's crew of three went 13 salmon and 4 rainbows on a recent sunny trip.

With the sunshine, the bite should keep improving. Monte rates it a solid medium.

From the report (Capt. Monte Smith): A lot of people would rate it slow to medium, I would rate it at medium. We're using Catch America's Optimizer Juniors, that's putting a few fish in the boat, but the fast troll has not really been there for us yet. So I've slowed things down considerably by running dodgers and Kokanee Killers, tipping the hooks with shoe peg corn. We're catching fish from 17 to 70 feet.
