What is working right now

Stripers have been busting on the Sacramento and Feather Rivers for the last couple of weeks. Capt. Brett Brady ran the Feather and banged them out quick this morning. Water is mid-50s on the Sacramento and upper-50s to low-60s on the Feather. Once it clears 62 degrees the fish spawn, and the evening bite is really coming on with swimbaits, black worms, and topwater.

How is striper fishing on the Feather and Sacramento?

Good. The fish have been busting for the last couple of weeks. Brett ran up on the Feather for a quick trip and banged them out pretty quick this morning. Both rivers are giving up stripers.

What are the water temperatures?

The Sacramento is running mid-50s and the Feather a bit warmer in the upper-50s to low-60s. Once the water clears 62 degrees those fish start heading to spawn, which is beginning on the Sacramento.

When is the best bite?

The evening bite is really starting to come on. Anglers are throwing swimbaits, black worms, and getting some topwater action, especially later in the day.

What is the outlook?

Probably another four to six weeks of striper fishing. As fish spawn off, new fish move in. After the run winds down, the crew shifts to kokanee, trout, and landlocked king salmon.
