Advice for this week
Stick to small presentations—especially when there's a lot of bait in the water. The Moon Jelly Dodgers from Catch America are slightly smaller and narrower than standard dodgers, and they’re really triggering bites right now. Pair them with flashy spoons or white plastics and add a little Shasta Trophy scent to seal the deal.
What is changing
The trout and salmon bite has really turned on this week. Fish are actively feeding on shad, and bellies are stuffed. July started off a bit slow, but it's heating up fast and fishing has been strong all week.
Next week
Expect similar conditions to continue. The current pattern should hold steady into late September or early October, making this an excellent time to plan a trip to Shasta.
