Frequently Asked Questions
When should I run a spinner?
Run spinners when fish are reacting to flash, vibration, and a compact profile. They are strong behind dodgers, on kokanee spreads, and in trout or salmon trolling lanes.
Do spinners need a dodger?
Not always. A dodger adds side-to-side action and more attraction, but some spinner rigs can also be run clean depending on speed, leader length, and target species.
What colors should I start with?
Pink, orange, chartreuse, glow, and contrast patterns are reliable starters. Match bright colors to stained water and low light, then rotate cleaner finishes when fish get pressured.
