About this product
The Catch America 4-6-inch Stainless Steel Trolling Dodger is the standard-bearer of the kokanee and trout troll, a wide-swinging attractor that pulls fish in from the surrounding water column while imparting action to any trailing lure. Premium stainless steel construction holds its shape and finish through a full season of hard use without the distortion and corrosion that compromise cheaper alloy dodgers over time. These dodgers deliver the ideal balance of attractor flash and line drag, making it compatible with everything from medium-action kokanee rods to heavier downrigger setups. Available in proven finish options including Moon Jelly, 24K Gold, Black Diamond, and Green Diamond.
How to use
Questions and answers
What is the 6-inch Trolling Dodger best for?
The 6-inch stainless steel dodger is a kokanee and trout attractor. Run ahead of a lure or bait, it throws flash and side-to-side action that pulls fish in from a distance. Our guides call the 6-inch dodger and T-Pex their number one kokanee setup.
How do I rig the 6-inch dodger?
Attach the dodger to your mainline with a quality snap swivel to prevent line twist, then run an 18 to 36 inch leader to your lure or bait. Shorten the leader for a tighter action and lengthen it for a wider, slower roll.
How fast should I troll the 6-inch dodger?
Troll it slowly, between 1.2 and 2.5 mph, and adjust for the best action. This is a slow-troll attractor, ideal for kokanee and trout behind a dodger, not for fast-trolled spoons. Watch it kick side to side rather than spin.
What do I run behind the 6-inch dodger?
Run it ahead of a T-Pex, X-Pex, spoon, soft plastic, or bait. Our guides' top kokanee rig is this dodger with a T-Pex, tipped with Chrome Killer Corn, worked from 45 to 100 feet on lakes like Berryessa.
What color dodger should I choose?
The 6-inch dodger comes in eight finishes including Moon Jelly, 24k Gold, and the Diamond series. Gold and natural finishes work in clear water and sun, while brighter Marble and Diamond patterns help in stained water or low light. Add scent to boost strikes.
Does adding scent help with the dodger?
Yes. Our guides tip the trailing lure or bait with scent to turn lookers into biters. Chrome Killer Corn on a T-Pex is a proven kokanee finish behind this dodger. Experiment with depth and speed, then add scent to seal the deal.

Caught on Donner Tuesday August 4,on a 6” 24k gold dodger and optimizer #4 all pearl white,my 16 yr old grandson’s first Mac 5am west end of lake,70 ft
I love my new dodgers, they have a great shine and the metal is easy to put that just right bend in it. I added tape and designed mine but I can always peel the tape off and change up the look.
Caught many Kokanee at Whiskey resivor

It looks very nice but I haven’t had a chance to use it. As soon as I do I will be able to give a more detailed analysis of how it works.
I've fished with Big Nate using these and can't wait to fish them this spring. I wished they had some bend already in them but I'll add my own.

I love your products and you’re Very fast shipping!
Love the gold finish. Wish both sides were smooth and refined to provide excellent reflection. Plating is thin and wears off easily when polishing to maintain shine
These dodgers work great. Offset swivel is a key design feature.
tried these dodgers with the Kavorkian T Pex lure at Lake Berryessa. Had a Shaker in 5 minutes, put it back down and in 15 minutes had an 18 inch King Salmon.
I love the products, I've fished them with great success!
Took it out and caught my first Kokanee!
