Cal Kellogg bends the bare hook slightly so the minnow rolls like a salmon bait, trolling 1.8 to 2.2 mph. A week ago the bubblegum pink Trix Worm did the heavy lifting. What is biting at Collins Lake right now?Trout are active but very selective. Cal Kellogg says they cannot settle on one color, so he carries a full box of soft plastics. This week a natural-colored Trix Minnow is producing quality fish, while last week the bubblegum pink Trix Worm was the go-to. How do you rig soft plastics at Collins Lake?Cal removed the action disc, bobber stops, and bead entirely.
