About this product

The Catch America 11-inch Stainless Steel Trolling Dodger is the big-water attractor built for large-lake and open-ocean trolling applications where maximum presence and fish-drawing power is needed across wide strike zones. Its oversized blade produces an aggressive wide-swing action with substantial water displacement, triggering responses from trophy salmon, large rainbow trout, and landlocked salmon from significant distances in the water column. Premium stainless steel construction ensures the blade holds its finish through a full season of saltwater and freshwater use. Available in all Green Diamond finishes.

Overview

The Catch America 9″ Stainless Steel Trolling Dodger is designed for anglers who demand performance. Its slim profile creates a wide, sweeping action in the water with minimal drag, making it perfect for both deep and shallow trolling.

This dodger is highly effective for targeting salmon, trout, walleye, and Lakers/Mackinaw. It produces both flash and vibration to trigger feeding responses, while its rotating motion imparts a darting action to the trailing lure, mimicking distressed baitfish. The metallic reflective film enhances visibility, increasing attraction in all water conditions.

Now available in three new finishes—24K Gold, Silver, and Copper—for added flash and superior performance in various light conditions.

How to use

Attach the dodger to your mainline using a quality snap swivel to prevent line twist.

Connect your lure or bait to the trailing end using a leader (18-36 inches, depending on target species and conditions).

Troll at speeds between 1.2 - 2.5 mph, adjusting for optimal action.

Use with spoons, soft plastics, or bait to maximize effectiveness.

Experiment with depth and speed to match fish activity—try adding scent to increase strikes.

Upgrade your trolling game with the Catch America 11″ Stainless Steel Trolling Dodger—built for serious anglers chasing big fish!

Questions and answers

What is the 11-inch Trolling Dodger best for?

The 11-inch Trolling Dodger is a large slow-troll attractor for salmon, trout, walleye, and Lakers or Mackinaw. Its slim profile sweeps wide with minimal drag, throwing flash and vibration that call fish from a distance. The bigger blade suits deeper water and larger predators chasing sizable prey.

How do I rig the 11-inch dodger?

Attach the dodger to your mainline with a quality snap swivel to prevent line twist. Tie your trailing lure or bait to the back with an 18 to 36 inch leader, adjusting length for species and conditions. Troll slowly and let the dodger impart action to the trailer.

What speed should I troll it?

Troll the 11-inch dodger slowly between 1.2 and 2.5 mph, adjusting until it sweeps side to side with a wide, even rhythm. This is a slow-troll attractor. Watch the rod tip for a steady pulse, and add scent to your trailing lure to draw more strikes.

What finishes does it come in?

The 11-inch dodger comes in two finishes: Stainless Steel and Green Diamond. Stainless throws bright flash in clear water and sun, while the Green Diamond pattern adds contrast that stands out in stained water or lower light. Both drive the darting action of whatever lure trails behind.

What should I run behind it?

Pair the 11-inch dodger with the Trix Minnow 5-pack for a slow-troll soft plastic trailer. The dodger throws flash and vibration while the thin minnow wobbles behind on a straight-shank hook. Keep the leader in the 18 to 36 inch range and troll slowly for trout and salmon.
