Catch America 7' Spinning Rod

A while back Cal Kellogg set out to design the ultimate spinning rod for trout anglers and the Catch America Spinning Rod is the result. 

"This is the perfect rod for casting lures or soaking bait for trout. 40 years ago, long before I had a watercraft of any kind I was out there bank fishing for trout and continue to do so today. I drew on all that experience to create what I feel is the ultimate spinning rod for trout," Cal Kellogg

The rod has a true medium action with plenty of softness in the first third to cushion the headshakes of even the most rambunctious trout  and ample power in the lower two thirds to sap the strength of the largest rainbow or brown.

At 7'2" in length the rod allows for long casts and the butter soft cork grip guarantees  a comfortable firm grasp even in wet or cold conditions. Cal pairs his personal rods with 10 to 15lb braid.

The Catch America Spinning rod works well with both braided and monofilament lines.
