Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Murky Water After Rain System?
It is a stained-water trout kit built for visibility and scent after rain, runoff, wind, or algae bloom. It combines a glow spinner, a chartreuse dodger, glow hoochies, a UV squid, a fly, and Bug Juice scent so fish can find your bait in dirty water.
What is in the kit?
You get Chartreuse Popsicle Uncle Larry's UV Glow Tiger Spinners, a Chartreuse 4 inch CA Trolling Dodger, Glow Micro Hoochies, an Orange Glow Uncle Larry's UV Squid, a 2-pack of Yellow Trigger Buggers, and Bug Juice Gel Scent by Brett Brady. Colors and options may vary.
When should I use this kit?
Pull it out after rain, during runoff, in wind-stirred or algae-stained water, and in low light. When clear-water tactics stop drawing attention, the glow, chartreuse, vibration, and scent in this kit give trout something they can track down in reduced visibility.
How do I fish it?
This is a slow trolling setup. Run the Chartreuse CA Trolling Dodger up front for flash, then trail a glow hoochie, the UV squid, or the Tiger Spinner behind it on a leader. Add Bug Juice scent. Keep the pace slow so the dodger swings and the trailers wobble.
Why glow and chartreuse colors?
Stained and low-light water swallows natural colors. Glow finishes and chartreuse hold visibility longer and give trout a clear target to home in on. The UV squid and glow hoochies keep drawing eyes as light fades, when muted, natural patterns simply disappear in the murk.
What should I add to this kit?
Keep a spare 4 inch Trolling Dodger Kokanee and Trout on hand. The dodger is the attractor that pulls fish toward every trailer in the kit, so a backup in another color lets you match changing water clarity without losing your slow troll spread.
