This pompano rig is dialed in for real surf conditions and consistent hookups. Built with 20lb fluorocarbon, it stays stealthy in clear water while holding up to hard-charging fish and rough structure.

Each rig features #2 octopus hooks paired with floats positioned under the hooks, keeping sand crabs and other baits suspended just off the bottom—right in the strike zone where fish feed.

Hardware matters, so we didn’t cut corners:

• Top swivel: Size 5 Pucci rolling swivel for smooth, tangle-free casts

• Bottom swivel: Size 7 Eagle Claw snap swivel for fast weight changes and solid holding power

Designed to fish best with a 1 oz Sputnik weight (NOT INCLUDED), but versatile enough to run pyramid or pancake weights up to ~5 oz (NOT INCLUDED), depending on surf and current. From calm mornings to heavier wash, this rig is built to handle most surf fishing situations.
